Confusion Regarding Rights and Privileges - Are They the Same?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.


As I discussed in my previous post, The Declaration of Independence makes a clear statement - God endows - not government - to individuals - not collective groups - rights. Only God can create rights - not the government. Understanding our fallen and fixed human nature, our national founders designed our US Constitution to recognize and protect the rights God gives against corruptible men. The lie progressive, anti-constitutionalists concocted is the magical transformation of a privilege into a right. They have used our sinful, covetous nature against us, which desires what others have. Today, many do not think there is a difference between a right and privilege. Some confuse them. I suspect the Occupier-in-chief does so with intention. For example, a human being does not have the right to government guaranteed happiness; however, using the life and liberty God has given, acting responsibly, a human being has the right to pursue happiness even if never obtained. In the name of, "Fairness," the Re-distributor-in-chief wants to steal from those who have earned wealth and pretend to give it to his indoctrinated useful idiots who want, "free," stuff. Our founders recognized that a person has a fundamental right to freely express and practice one's faith in God. A legitimate government exists to protect this right and it must never use crafty, unjust regulations to deprive anyone from practicing the tenants of their beliefs or force anyone to perform an act, which would violate one's conscience. As I understand Holy Scripture, the Almighty Creator and Governor of the Universe chose not to violate a person's will. So where does the Dictator-in-chief and his evildoer minions think they have the authority to force followers of Jesus Christ, the Creator of life, to fund birth control, and murderous abortions, and call it a, "fundamental right for women's health." It does not come from the Constitution. To claim it does is a lie. Why is it a grievous lie? For one, government cannot create rights. A legitimate government can and should recognize and protect the rights God gives. Secondly, the rights God gives apply to all people, not a given class or gender.

Webster's Dictionary states that the word, "Rights," means: "According to fact or truth (We hold these truths to be self evident . . .), something that is correct, just, proper, or honorable, something to which one has a just or lawful claim. Conversely, "Privileges," are grants or immunities given by law or practice as an advantage or favor especially to some and not to others. So, the Liar-in-chief says he is promoting a gender specific, "Right." It is not. It is a privilege the government is creating, while forcing followers of Christ to violate our conscience by paying larger insurance premiums (a form of non-represented and non-debated taxation), or oppressive fines if we fail to comply. As a man of faith, I am outraged that America's version of the infant slaying Pharaoh has the audacity to tell me what and how I am to think, and to remain silent as untold millions more of future American citizens are denied the right to life - murdered by a corrupted people who think it is okay. This is tyranny and unless I am a, "Sunshine Patriot," I choose to stand with our founders who declared, "Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God."

The grinning evil, despot says that he will, "Require," insurance companies to provide contraception, morning after pills, sterilization, and God only knows what else, free of charge. Many of our non-representing, representatives' stick their respective heads in the sand and pretend to ignore the illegitimate, illegal, unconstitutional, and evil law germinated from the pit-of-hell. Nothing is free. He demands that insurance companies provide this additional coverage. Who pays for this, "free," service, which includes the expense of developing, manufacturing, distributing and administering birth control and abortion drugs and contraceptives? He claims that millions of women need these things. This too is a lie, and since when does a need create a right? For those who own and hold a State granted driver's license to drive cars, we need gas to run them. Should all energy be free? I can hear the covetous; stupid occupiers yelling, "Yes." Many of us, who hold fast to common sense, still have thinking - not brainwashed - minds. We understand that someone always pays for another's free stuff - and it will not be the rich alone. The average American who pays taxes and medical insurance premiums will pay these expenses on behalf of the privileged female class. I am convinced this evil hater of the American Constitution came to the presidency to abuse its power and to rob, kill, steal, and destroy our nation. He promises freedom in exchange for the slavery of corruption.

The assault on God given liberty has been progressing for all recorded history. Freedom descends deeper into the abyss of evil bondage faster today than it did less than a century ago. I have a right and responsibility to defend my life and family against an invading evil doer, including a corrupt member of the government. I have a right and a corresponding responsibility to sound an alarm; this government is stealing our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. Putting it simply so that an indoctrinated useful idiot with a meaningless degree from a university can understand, God created me and gave me life - not the government. Because I live, and He lives in me, He gave me the additional right to protect my life - not the government. God tells all people that we cannot take another person's life without just cause - neither can the government without following due process of the law. If a legitimate government follows the process, we have a God given right to equal protection under the law. The State of Colorado recognizes that I have a fundamental right to bear arms, and that I have a right to defend my life against someone attempting to take it or to cause me or members of my family harm. Colorado grants me the privilege to use deadly force to protect my family against the evil doer. For those still confused between a right and a privilege, in this case, I live by exercising my God given right of self-defense and use the state granted privilege to shoot the intruder. I may suffer the temporary removal of my liberty while the legal process settles, but the evil doer remains forever dead, and may God have mercy on his soul.

For further clarification, I do not have a right to be married. I do not have a right to my wife's love. I still consider it a miracle greater than the parting of the Red Sea that my bride of almost forty years agreed to join her life to mine. Our state has not bowed down to the corrupt culture. Thus far, Colorado recognizes that marriage is between one man and one woman. Together, a husband and wife form the basic and balanced family unit. Thus, the state granted us a license so we can enjoy the privilege of sharing and building our lives together.

We do not have a right to own a home, car, or cell phone. I did not have a right to an indoctrination degree our confused culture calls education - I have to earn it and I learned to reject the liberal-progressive brainwashing that came with the pedigree papers. I do not have a right to a job - it is a privilege to work and earn a living. According to our Socialist leaders, because I am not a woman, I do not have a right to pregnancy prevention health care, nor do I want it. However, the tyrant forces me to share in its expense as a punishment for earning an income. I have to pay for female sexual immorality with higher health insurance premiums - this is taxation without my consent and violates my conscience.

As a side note, I do not have the right to invade the country of my choice, take its resources, and livelihoods from those who call that nation home, or demand its government and taxpayers to fund all these things - this is theft - this is evil.

Because I can prove that I am a natural born USA citizen, I have the PRIVILEGE to vote in USA elections. Therefore, I have a responsibility before God, my family, and community to learn about the candidates and issues and compare them with righteous principles and values - not Marxist, Socialist, Islamic, Statist, Collective, Progressive or Anarchist evil anti-constitutional notions of social justice and fairness. Then, I can act responsibly, exercise God's liberty, and perform my civic duty. In my opinion, former Senator Rick Santorum measures up best against God's holy standards.

The next time I think I am entitled to anything, I better check my covetous nature and remember, God gave me life, liberty and the ability to pursue happiness - not a guaranteed equal outcome. If I do not use this life to honor God and serve His children with goodness, like all He created, I am entitled to face His righteous judgment.

It is time for all those who follow the Law of Moses and true believers in Jesus Christ to stand up, shoulder-to-shoulder. If we want our Constitutional Republic to survive, we must remove the usurper-in-chief, who makes himself out to be god, and all of his unrighteous minions. We must replace him (and them) with righteous leadership - those who understand that we the people of America reject despotism. We embrace the concepts adopted by our founders who established and ordained the Declaration of Independence and its executing document, the United States Constitution, which protects God granted individual rights - not collective rights. Righteous leaders recognize the difference between individual rights and their implementing privileges. They will not demand that we serve a ruling, political, privileged class, but they will serve the sovereign citizens of this nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Why We Must Follow Our Founding Documents (An Opinion)

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.




I am changing the thrust in these posts. By virtue of the title, I have added a revised emphasis. Why? I thought liberty-loving Americans must confront the cancerous, Progressive-World View, which holds to and promotes the lie that "The Constitution of the United States is no longer relevant to a modern society." After analyzing the voting results coming out of South Carolina's GOP primary, I became convinced that I omitted a key piece to the ideological puzzle - The Declaration of Independence.




On the 50th Anniversary of our First Founding Document, the Honorable John Quincy Adams, the 6th President of the former United States, presented a greater than thirty thousand word dissertation explaining why the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were inseparable. To provide a super condensed summary, he indicated that these were two sides of a single gold coin (Ron Paul supporters should be happy with this sound money reference). The heart of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address is the phrase that our nation was, "conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." This keystone can never be ignored. Promoters of the progressive-world view may pay it lip service but their evil actions speak louder than words.




Progressives promote government dependence; even if it is couched in terms of limited government. For example, I heard in this past week's debates the need to modernize Charleston's harbor to accommodate larger ships. In these debates, I heard the Government should play a role in this development. The same applied to energy development. I did not hear anyone, including Ron Paul, talk about abolishing the Department of Energy or any other Federal agencies - just restructure them. If these offices remain in any capacity, they will continue to do everything within their dictatorial, illegitimate, tyrannical power to prevent development. If the people of South Carolina want to improve Charleston harbor, they should do it. Americans from Montana to Louisiana should build the the Keystone pipeline, regardless of what the liar-in-chief says. If he wants to stop it, he - along with his EPA NAZI administrators - should stand in front of the bulldozers - but that would be standing in the way of progress - oops.




The Progressive model means more government dependency, which is the cancer killing individual liberty. But anything goes freedom, a.k.a. anarchy, never endures. It self-destructs because it lacks balance. After a short reign-of-terror, power grabbing dictators move in to, "Restore order." The counterbalance to unchecked liberty is responsibility. Our Creator requires us to be responsible to Him, to ourselves, and to each other - but not to the collective. Both Republican and Democrat Progressives have succeeded in rendering the Constitution (the HOW a legitimate government must behave) and the Declaration (the WHAT constitutes a legitimate government and the WHY it is established) irrelevant. To illustrate, please review the organization chart below, published in October 2011.



Do you notice the reporting structure? Why do we need so many agencies, departments, and "Government Corporations?" Why do most report to the Executive Branch? Are they responsible to WE THE PEOPLE? No, they are not. Can you see how the Executive Branch has converted the Constitution into a meaningless piece of parchment? If this cancerous condition remains unchecked, this administration will extinguish the light of freedom. Once again, darkness will cover the earth, and evil will reign until God matures new sons of liberty.
